Climate change may be responsible for leaving Kenya with less than 1 days worth of Corn after a drought throughout the countries crop growing season in March and April.
We are witnessing here, in real time, the effects of climate change driven drought, leaving Kenya with not enough grain, and the starvation and famine vulnerable nations of Ethiopia and Zimbabwe choosing to export the little grain they have, because the price on the external market is 50% higher than the internal one.
This is exactly the point we raised in Episode 7 when I discussed with Iv the potential for this scenario playing out in the Philippines and other climate vulnerable nations.
